At the boys' school, La Costa Heights, the 1st Graders always perform a musical called "Really Rosie", modeled after a book. The kids work all year to be able to sing 7-8 LONG songs, with tons of words and very different melodic patterns. It was so fun to watch Luke - he was quite animated, for Luke. Below is his whole 1st grade class - Luke is 3rd from the right side peeking out behind the kid in front of him, Connor. Ms. Mirzaian is a wonderful teacher and I couldn't have asked for a better person for Luke to be with this year!
