Friends of ours from our ward were both in "A Wicked Revue" at The STAR Oceanside Theatre. It was a compilation of songs by Michael Schwarz. It wasn't actually a "play", they sang and danced the different songs but the kids were glued. It did go pretty late in the night but they did so well, and loved the performance. Haven McCune (the boys' good friend-she is a music student of mine too) came with us and it was so cute watching her and Chance interact. All 3 of them, of course, wanted a picture in front of this white grand piano that was in the lobby of the theatre.
Haven is pointing to Wendy Pendergrass' photo - She used to be in our ward and was the primary chorister so the kids LOVE her. Chance is pointing to her dad, Bob Poppleton's photo, who is also in our ward. He is a great guy with a love for singing and dancing, and especially family history. We have seen him in more than a few performances at the local Star Theatre. This kids adore the man...they think he's hilarious - which he IS!
